We are looking for a highly motivated member to join our team to assist with the day to day care and running of the riding school and livery yard. Preferred level of qualification working towards is level 3 or equivalent
Job description
Routine yard and field duties – mucking/skipping out, watering, feeding, tidying and cleaning the yard and fields.
Handling horses – turning out and bring in to and from fields, tying up and assisting with vets, farriers, dentist and physio
Working safely at all times and as part of a team with good, honest communication
Handling of tack and equipment – clean and use relevant tack and rugs etc
Maintaining a high standard of care to all horses, riding school and livery horses.
Assisting with riding school duties and competitions.

Skills must include the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, managers and clients whist maintaining a safe work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Personal qualities
The right candidate must be honest, reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
Take a pride in their work, showing commitment and loyalty, whilst conducting themselves in a professional, respectful manner, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
They must be a good team worker that can be flexible and willing to change as priorities and weather dictates.
They must be able to follow instructions and a routine and if necessary report accurately any concerns or abnormalities but ask for advice and guidance if unsure.
To be organised and productive and be able to use own initiative.
